SLIDING SCALE / REDUCED-FEE SERVICES

Ascend is pleased to offer services at significantly reduced rates to individuals, couples, or families who otherwise cannot access psychotherapeutic services. The clinicians that provide services in this program are graduate students from counseling and psychology programs. Thus, they are under the supervision of a licensed professional and supported by advanced pre-licensed clinicians.

Cancellation and No-Show Policy

We prioritize our patients by holding space for each person we see. When patients cancel an appointment, our clinicians offer that space to other people who need an appointment that week. When patients cancel within 48-hours or no show, other patients miss out on an opportunity to be seen and our staff would lose income.

If you would like to cancel an appointment, we ask that you do so with your provider with at least 48-hour notice. Anyone canceling an appointment with less than a 48-hour notice will be charged the full session fee if they are not able to reschedule for later that week. Insurance does not cover no shows and late cancellations, so is the patient’s responsibility to pay.

INSURANCE

Ascend accepts one insurance directly–Blue Cross/Blue Shield.

Our practice seeks to offer high-quality, individualized attention to each client and is firmly committed to each person’s privacy and confidentiality.  We cannot meet those goals by being in-network with most insurance companies.  We went into this field to help people, NOT help insurance companies and their investors make money.

However, if you don’t have Blue Cross/Blue Shield and want to use your insurance, you can still work with us.  For all other insurance carriers, we offer SuperPay, a secure, HIPAA-compliant payment option powered by SuperBill, to provide you with a FREE and simple way to get reimbursed by your insurance for out-of-network services. When you pay for your sessions with SuperPay, SuperBill will automatically file and track your claims with your insurer. You will also have access to their expert customer support team for assistance with insurance benefits checks and claim denial resolution.
